Why “Zero to 54”
[Draft placeholder. Replace with your own words. This starter post shows the blog layout; ask Claude to swap in your real first essay whenever you’re ready.]
The 54 gets the attention. Fifty-four miles, ten weeks of training, a guy who wasn’t a runner. But the number that matters in the title is the zero.
Zero is where I actually started. Not at the starting line of a race, but at thirty-six, with the career I’d spent sixteen years building behind me and nothing certain in front. The run was just the test. The zero was the life.
